
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson hit a game-tying 3-pointer late in overtime Friday and added five points in the extra period, lifting Atlanta to a 107-101 win over Detroit.
Johnson scored 30 points, rallying the Hawks from an 11-point halftime deficit.
Marvin Williams had 22 points and eight rebounds for Atlanta, which has won three out of four. Josh Smith contributed 19 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks.
Johnson's key 3-pointer, with 2 seconds left in the fourth quarter, came after he had stolen the ball from Rodney Stuckey 15 seconds earlier. Marvin Williams brought the Hawks within three points by making a 3-pointer with 36 seconds to go in regulation.
Detroit lost for the 13th time in 15 games. Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 22 points and Brandon Knight had 20.
