FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Tom Brady ran for the go-ahead TD Sunday and New England hung on for a 23-20 AFC Championship Game win when Baltimore missed a field goal try.

Brady went plunging over the pile at the goal line for a 1-yard score with 11:29 left in the game, capping an 11-play, 63-yard drive and handing the Patriots a 3-point lead.

But New England (15-3) only avoided overtime when Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal attempt with 11 seconds left after Joe Flacco had driven Baltimore 65 yards in 1 1/2 minutes.

Brady finished 22-of-36 passing for 239 yards with no interceptions and was picked off twice for the Patriots, who advanced to their fifth Super Bowl appearance in 11 years.

There they will play the New York Giants in the Super Bowl in a rematch of the 2007 championship game, which the Patriots lost 17-14.

Flacco also completed 22-of-36 passes, gaining 306 yards with two scores and one interception.

Anquan Boldin hauled down six passes for 101 yards while Torrey Smith and Dennis Pitta each made TD grabs for Baltimore (13-5), which fell short in its bid for its first Super Bowl appearance since 2000.
