NBA: New Jersey 97, Charlotte 87

NEWARK, N.J., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- MarShon Brooks and Deron Williams teamed up for 39 points Sunday and the New Jersey Nets handed Charlotte a fourth straight loss, 97-87.

Brooks scored 20 points while Williams added 19 and 10 assists as the Nets took their second victory in three games.

New Jersey also got 19 points from Anthony Morrow and Jordan Farmar donated 13 in Sunday's win.

The Bobcats, meanwhile, continued their slump despite 16 points, six rebounds and four assists from rookie Kemba Walker.

Also reaching double figures in scoring for Charlotte were Gerald Henderson (15 points) and Derrick Brown and Bismack Biyombo (11 each).
