WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce did it all for Boston Saturday with 34 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, helping the Celtics hold off Washington for a 100-94 victory.

The Celtics corralled their sixth win of the season despite playing without injured point guard Rajon Rondo and losing shooting guard Ray Allen to an ankle injury during the game.

Kevin Garnett helped out with 17 points for Boston, which trailed 84-83 with 6 minutes left but then went on a 10-2 run to put the game away.

The Wizards lost for the sixth time in seven games despite 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists from John Wall.
