SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Jason Terry's 3-pointer touched off a late 7-1 run Thursday that boosted the Dallas Mavericks to a 94-91 victory over Utah.

After suffering last-second losses in Los Angeles to both the Clippers and Lakers this week, the Mavericks made the key plays down the stretch in snapping Utah's three-game winning streak.

Terry's long-range shot with 2:32 remaining broke an 87-87 tie and his two free throws with 16 seconds left expanded the Dallas lead to six. C.J. Miles hit a 3-pointer for the Jazz just before the buzzer to account for the final score.

Shawn Marion led Dallas with 22 points and was one of five Dallas players in double figures. Roddy Beaubois came off the bench to score 17.

Utah got 22 from Al Jefferson and 17 from Miles.
