ST. LOUIS, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Jaroslav Halak had to make just 15 saves to turn in the third shutout in his last four starts Thursday, lifting the St. Louis Blues to a 1-0 win over Edmonton.

A third-period goal by Alex Pietrangelo made the difference in helping the Blues to their seventh win their last eight games. Pietrangelo scored on a wraparound shot with 5:14 to play in regulation.

Halak has four shutouts this season and 20 in his six-year career, the last two having been spent with the Blues.

Nikolai Khabibulin allowed the lone goal on 39 shots in Edmonton's seventh loss in eight contests.
