NHL: Philadelphia 5, Minnesota 1

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Scott Hartnell capped a big second period for Philadelphia with a power-play goal Tuesday and the Flyers breezed to a 5-1 win over Minnesota.

Sean Couturier and Braydon Coburn also scored during the middle frame, when the Flyers took a 4-1 lead.

Kimmo Timonen and Jakub Voracek added goals while Jaromir Jagr and Matt Read chipped in with two assists each for Philadelphia, which logged a third straight home win.

Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 25-of-26 shots to notch the victory.

Darroll Powe netted the Wild's only goal and Josh Harding made 29 saves as Minnesota fell to 0-8-2 in its last 10 road games.
