Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHICAGO, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer finished with 31 points and the Chicago Bulls erupted for 39 first-quarter points Tuesday in a 118-97 win over Phoenix.
C.J. Watson had 23 points and five assists in a starting role at point guard, with Derrick Rose out for a second consecutive game due to injury. Wilson was perfect in five tries from 3-point range.
The Bulls shot 53.4 percent from the field and led 67-47 at halftime.
The Suns shot 51.4 percent and outscoring the Bulls 29-22 in the fourth quarter to close the gap.
Steve Nash led the Suns with 25 points and had nine assists. Robin Lopez scored 16 of the bench and Marcin Gortat had 14 points and 15 rebounds.
