HONOLULU, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Johnson Wagner rallied with a round of 3-under-par 67 Sunday, coming from behind to score a two-stroke victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Wagner claimed the 2012 season's first full-field event by finishing at 13-under 267, two better than Carl Pettersson (67), Sean O'Hair (67), Harrison Frazar (67) and Charles Howell III (69) -- all of whom shared second place at minus-11.
Wagner notched his third career PGA Tour victory. He also took the 2008 Houston Open and last year's Mayakoba Golf Classic.
Sharing sixth place at minus-10 were third-round co-leader Matt Every, who struggled to a 2-over 72, as well as Michael Thompson (67), Brian Gay (67) and D.A. Points (69).
