Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24


MELBOURNE, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki will play Anastasia Rodionova in the first round of the Australian open.
The open, first of the year's tennis Grand Slams, begins Monday in Melbourne.
Wozniacki, the top-ranked women's player in the world, has yet to win a Grand Slam event.
The No. 2 seed, Petra Kvitova, will face Vera Dushevina and third-seeded Victoria Azarenka is scheduled to meet Heather Watson.
Maria Sharapova, seeded fourth, will play Gisela Dulko, No. 5 Li Na will meet Ksenia Pervak and sixth-seeded Samantha Stosur, the U.S. Open champion, will face Sorana Cirstea.
Defending champion Kim Clijsters is seeded 11th. She'll play a qualifier in the opening round.
