
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Jonas Jerebko made 9-of-12 shots from the field Friday and led the Detroit Pistons to their first victory in seven tries, a 98-81 decision over Charlotte.
Jerebko, in his second season with the Pistons, was averaging nine points a game this season before breaking out with 22 against the Bobcats.
It was the third win of the season for the Pistons, the other two having come in succession Dec. 31 and Jan. 2. Charlotte has lost six in a row and dropped to 2-10 for the season.
Greg Monroe, who scored 32 points and had 16 rebounds 24 hours earlier in a loss to Milwaukee, scored 19 against Charlotte. Ben Gordon added 14.
Detroit made half of its 14 attempts from 3-point range and outrebounded the Bobcats by 12.
Charlotte was led by 18 points from Byron Mullens.
