SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Richard Jefferson put San Antonio in front for good during overtime Wednesday and the Spurs went on to down Houston 101-95.

The Spurs had suffered back-to-back losses for the first time this season, but ended that skid by overcoming a 10-point, first-half deficit.

Houston rallied from five points behind in the last 70 seconds of the fourth period and forced overtime when Luis Scola made a layup with 8 seconds remaining.

The Rockets owned a one-point lead with the final minute of the extra period approaching, but Jefferson hit a 3-pointer with 1:10 left to give the Spurs a 94-92 advantage.

Tim Duncan hit a layup with 37 seconds left and Tony Parker added four free throws over the last 22 seconds to help the Spurs protect its lead.

Parker led the way with 28 points while Duncan had 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. San Antonio played at home for the seventh time this season and the Spurs have won them all. They are 0-4 on the road.

Houston, losers of five out of six, got 22 points from Kyle Lowry.
