Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace had 20 points to lead five Portland players in double figures Tuesday and the Trail Blazers beat the Los Angeles Clippers 105-97.
LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews each scored 18, Marcus Camby finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Raymond Felton had 17 points and eight assists for the Trail Blazers, who won their second straight game and improved their home record to 6-0.
Caron Butler led the Clippers with 20 points and six rebounds. Chauncey Billups scored 19 and Blake Griffin finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for LA.
Chris Paul was held to 11 points for the clippers, who had won three straight coming into the game.
