NBA: Toronto 97, Minnesota 87

TORONTO, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Andrea Bargnani poured in 31 points Monday and the Toronto Raptors beat Minnesota 97-87 to improve to 14-1 against the Timberwolves since 2004-05.

Amir Johnson added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors.

Toronto iced the contest with a 20-7 run down the stretch and beat Minnesota for an eighth straight time at the Air Canada Center.

Minnesota lost despite the ninth straight double-double to start the season from Kevin Love, who netted 13 points to go with 14 rebounds.

J.J. Barea scored 16 points off the bench for the T-Wolves.
