NEW YORK, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire scored 25 points and Carmelo Anthony added 22 Monday in the New York Knicks' 91-87 victory over Charlotte.

Stoudemire hauled down 12 rebounds and Anthony netted nine of his points in the late going, helping the Knicks hang on for their third straight win. The pair combined to go 20-for-26 from the foul line.

The Knicks got 20 points and 13 boards from Tyson Chandler.

Boris Diaw led the Bobcats with 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn't enough to prevent Charlotte's seventh loss in nine games to start the season.
