Officials said firefighters responded to Wilson's home in Seven Fields, Pa., about 23 miles north of Pittsburgh, at 2:42 a.m. Friday and found the 50-year-old coach burned on his arms and legs, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Jeffrey Schueler, director of public safety in Cranberry, Pa., said Wilson was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Cranberry and then transferred to UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

His condition wasn't available but an unnamed Steelers source told the newspaper the coach's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Wilson sustained burned over 30 to 50 percent of his body, the source said.

"First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with Kirby and his entire family," Steelers President Art Rooney II said in a statement issued to the Post-Gazette. "We are saddened to hear about his unfortunate situation but we know that he has the best medical care in the country treating him."

Report: Colts to draft Andrew Luck No. 1

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- The Indianapolis Colts have decided to take coveted Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the first selection in the NFL draft, sources told ESPN.com.

Sources told ESPN.com the uncertainty over Manning's health and the rare opportunity to grab a blue-chip passer convinced team owner Jim Irsay to grab Luck.

Mayweather faces boxing license scrutiny

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Nevada boxing officials say they want to meet with Floyd Mayweather about his license before he enters the ring this spring.

Mayweather has not yet applied for a license for his May 5 bout in Las Vegas against a still-unnamed opponent; however, the head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Keith Kizer, told TMZ when he does he will have to sit down with the commission.

"The commission looks at experience, integrity, character and skill to determine whether or not it's appropriate to issue a license," Kizer said.

TMZ noted Mayweather comes into the scheduled fight with some baggage. He was convicted last month of assaulting his girlfriend and had to get a judge to delay his 90-day jail sentence until after the fight.

Whoever Mayweather fights, it won't be Manny Pacquiao. Abs-cbnNews.com in the Philippines said Saturday promoter Bob Arum was working on a fight for the Filipino welterweight king that will probably take place in June, about the time Mayweather is checking into the Clark County Jail.

Media reports said veterans Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez were among the potential opponents for Pacman.

Zheng bests Pennetta in rainy N.Z. final

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Zheng Jie of China collected the championship of the ASB Classic Sunday in New Zealand when Italy's Flavia Pennetta bowed out in the third set.

Pennetta was trailing 6-2, 3-6, 0-2 when she retired with a back injury, handing Zheng her fourth career win in the rain-delayed final.

The two were scheduled to meet Saturday but heavy rains in Auckland forced a one-day delay. More rain Sunday then necessitated a move indoors.

Zheng, 28, improved to 4-2 in career finals and earned her first crown since 2006.

World No. 20 Pennetta fell short in her bid for a 10th career title.
