NBA: New York 103, Detroit 80

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire pumped in 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds Saturday, sparking the New York Knicks' 103-80 win over Detroit.

New York forced 21 turnovers leading to 23 points as the Knicks posted back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Mike Bibby added 16 points off the bench, Carmelo Anthony contributed 13 with seven assists, and Tyson Chandler finished with 10 points and nine rebounds for New York.

The short-handed Pistons went down to defeat while playing without the injured Austin Daye, Rodney Stuckey and Charlie Villanueva.

Brandon Knight led Detroit with 19 points.
