LONDON, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Organizers of the 2012 London Olympics said their ticket resale Web site ceased functioning Friday morning because of a high volume of users.

The London organizing committee and ticketing partner Ticketmaster said the high volume of users seeking to buy or sell tickets to the Games caused the Web site to cease allowing users to upload their unwanted tickets, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

The committee said it is hoping a refresh of the system will solve the problem.
