Bears name Tice offensive coordinator

CHICAGO, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Mike Tice is being promoted to offensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears, replacing Mike Martz, the team announced Friday.

Tice is a former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

Martz left the Bears after two years Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reported.
