BOSTON, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Patrice Bergeron and Nathan Horton both scored twice Thursday in Boston's biggest offensive outburst of the season, leading the Bruins past Calgary 9-0.

The Bruins won for the ninth time in 10 games, hammering rookie goaltender Leland Irving for six goals on 20 shots. It was the second huge game for Boston in two weeks, the Bruins having crushed Florida 8-0 Dec. 23.

Tyler Seguin scored just 1:24 into the game and Boston also picked up first-period goals from Milan Lucic and David Krejci.

Boston added four goals in the second, Bergeron producing his first and Horton getting both of his before Irving was finally replaced by Miikka Kiprusoff.

Bergeron added his second goal in the third period, giving him 11 for the season. He scored two goals Wednesday in a 6-1 win over New Jersey.

Irving made his fourth NHL start. He had given up seven goals in his previous three appearances.

The shutout went to backup goaltender Tuukka Rask, his third of the season in 13 starts. He has 11 shutouts in his five-year career.
