NBA: Chicago 99, Detroit 83

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer led a balanced scoring attack Wednesday that brought Chicago its sixth straight win, a 99-83 decision over Detroit.

Chicago joined Miami in becoming the first teams to reach six wins in the young NBA season. Miami got to that plateau Wednesday by downing Indiana.

Boozer scored 19 points while Derrick Rose had 17 along with 10 assists. Richard Hamilton scored 14 points against his former team and Joakim Noah pulled down 11 rebounds to go with his 13 points.

Hamilton played nine years with the Pistons before his contract was bought out before this season. He had missed the previous two games with a groin injury.

Chicago built a 16-point halftime lead and was not threatened over the final two periods.

Greg Monroe had 19 points for Detroit, which had won two straight. The Bulls have defeated the Pistons 12 consecutive times.
