AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Detroit's Ben Gordon went 8-of-15 from the field on his way to 26 points Monday and the Pistons cooled off Orlando 89-78.

Gordon distributed six assists while Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince each added 14 points for the Pistons, who snapped the Magic's four-game winning streak.

Jonas Jerebko had eight points and 11 rebounds in Detroit's second win following a season-opening three-game skid.

Orlando got 19 points and seven rebounds from Dwight Howard but J.J. Redick went 3-of-10 from the field and was held to eight points off the bench.
