Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MIAMI, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady sparked a strong fourth quarter for Atlanta Monday, pumping in 13 points down the stretch in the Hawks' 100-92 win over Miami.
McGrady finished with 16 points for Atlanta, which outscored Miami 33-21 in the final frame to hand the previously unbeaten Heat their first loss of the season.
Joe Johnson scored 21 points, and Al Horford had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks, who got 15 points from Jeff Teague.
LeBron James finished with 28 points, six assists and seven rebounds, and Chris Bosh scored 19 for the Heat.
