Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Vick hurled a trio of touchdown passes Sunday and Philadelphia downed Washington 34-10 in the season-ending game for both clubs.
Vick went 24-of-39 through the air for 335 yards, including a 62-yard score in the fourth quarter to DeSean Jackson, warming up after a slow start for the Eagles (8-8).
Jeremy Maclin made eight grabs for 105 yards and Brent Celek contributed 86 yards and a score as the Eagles closed the season with a fourth straight win.
Washington (5-11) stumbled to a fourth loss in five games despite a 22-of-45 passing performance Rex Grossman, who passed for 256 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
