JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Maurice Jones-Drew picked up 169 yards for Jacksonville Saturday, clinching the NFL season rushing title in the Jaguars' 19-13 decision over Indianapolis.
Jones-Drew racked up 1,606 yards for the Jaguars (5-11), one of the few positive aspects of a campaign that saw the team shaken up with a new owner and poor on-field play.
The Colts (2-14), meanwhile, assured themselves the league's worst record with the setback, giving them the top choice in the upcoming NFL draft.
Indianapolis lost 13 straight to start the season after a neck injury to Peyton Manning, the Colts' 35-year-old future Hall of Fame quarterback, who didn't play a down during the campaign.
The Colts could stick with Manning for next season or take standout Stanford signal-caller Andrew Luck with their first choice.
Dan Orlovsky led the Colts Sunday with 264 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice and lost a fumble.
