NBA: Cleveland 98, New Jersey 82

CLEVELAND, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Cleveland's Antawn Jamison pumped in 23 points Sunday and the Cavaliers used accurate long-range shooting to bomb New Jersey 98-82.

Daniel Gibson added 19 points for Cleveland, which connected on an eye-popping 61.5 percent (16-of-26) from 3-point range.

First-overall draft pick Kyrie Irving put in 13 points, Alonzo Gee netted 11 and Anderson Varejao collected 11 rebounds for Cleveland.

The Nets got 16 points from Deron Williams and Anthony Morrow added 15 in the loss, New Jersey's fourth straight.
