CHICAGO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is closing in on a new long-term shoe endorsement deal with Adidas, sources told ESPN.com.

The contract would be worth an estimated $250 million over 10 years to Rose and would give Adidas one of the hottest advertising names in the shoe business.

ESPN.com said Rose, last year's NBA Most Valuable Player, already has Adidas on the high road in China where the brand outsells Nike and its star endorsers Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
