LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Andrew Bynum returned from a four-game suspension to score 29 points and grab 13 rebounds in the Los Angeles Lakers' 92-89 win over Denver Saturday.

Bynum also sank the eventual game-winning shot.

Kobe Bryant added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who won their third straight following 0-2 start to the season. Pau Gasol contributed 17 points for the winners.

The Nuggets had a chance to tie the score with 1.9 seconds left but Danilo Gallinari missed a layup.

Andre Miller, Nene and Arron Afflalo each netted 13 for Denver.
