DENVER, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Nene paced Denver on a big run to end the first half Wednesday and the Nuggets coasted from there to defeat Utah 117-100.
Denver held only a one-point lead midway through the second quarter but closed the period on a 21-5 burst.
The Jazz could not mount a second-half comeback, losing for the second time in as many games. Denver has won both its outings.
Nene scored 25 points, making 10-of-13 shots from the field, grabbing seven rebounds and going 5-of-5 from the line.
Al Harrington added 18 points for the Nuggets and Ty Lawson had 15.
Al Jefferson led Utah with 19 points.
