OTTAWA, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Lars Eller's shorthanded goal in the first period Tuesday touched off a run of five straight Montreal scores in the Canadiens' 6-2 win over Ottawa.

Michael Cammalleri, Erik Cole, Louis Leblanc, Tomas Plekanec and P.K. Subban all finished with a goal and an assist while Raphael Diaz added three helpers for the Canadiens.

Carey Price stopped 33-of-35 shots for the Habs, who broke a five-game losing streak and handed a first victory to interim head Coach Randy Cunneyworth after going 0-4-0 since he replace the fired Jacques Martin.

Zack Smith and Jason Spezza found the net for the Senators.

Craig Anderson started in goal but was yanked in the second period after yielding four goals on seven shots. Alex Auld came in and turned aside 19-of-21 the rest of the way.
