Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHICAGO, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Viktor Stalberg netted back-to-back goals in the second period Monday, propelling the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-1 victory over Columbus.
Stalberg's eighth and ninth goals of the season broke open the contest, handing the Blackhawks a 3-0 lead.
Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp scored as Chicago won for the eighth time in 10 games.
Corey Crawford made 37 stops to record the victory.
The Blue Jackets, who lost their eighth in 10 contests, got their only goal from James Wisniewski.
Steve Mason yielded four goals on 22 shots for Columbus.
