KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Sebastian Janikowski's third field goal -- a 36-yard boot in overtime -- propelled the Oakland Raiders to a key 16-13 win over Kansas City Saturday.

The Raiders (8-7) forged a tie with Denver atop the AFC West with the victory after the Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills Saturday.

The San Diego Chargers also had a chance to gain a share of the divisional lead with a victory over Detroit later in the day, but lost 38-10 to the Lions.

Carson Palmer overcame a pair of interceptions for the Raiders, threw for 237 yards and one touchdown.

Denarius Moore made four grabs for 94 yards and a score. Michael Bush contributed 70 rushing yards on 23 carries.

Kyle Orton tossed for 300 yards on 21-of-36 efficiency with a touchdown but was picked off twice for the Chiefs (6-9).
