Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has accepted plea deals in a domestic violence case and an assault on a security guard, Nevada authorities said Tuesday.
Clark County District Attorney David Roger said the unbeaten WBC welterweight champion will plead to misdemeanors in cases involving the mother of three of his children and a security guard, KLAS-TV, Las Vegas, reported.
Roger said the boxer will plead guilty to one count of battery domestic violence in a September 2010 assault on girlfriend Josie Harris, which was witnessed by one of his sons. Mayweather will also admit to two counts of harassment for poking and yelling at a guard over a parking dispute the following month, the broadcaster reported.
Roger said Mayweather faces $3,000 in fines with a possible jail sentence of as much as 18 months.
