DENVER, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- The Colorado Rockies announced Tuesday they have agreed to a three-year contract with free-agent outfielder Michael Cuddyer.

Cuddyer, 32, will make $30 million under the deal, The Denver Post reported, while MLB.com cited sources as saying it totaled $31.5 million.

Cuddyer hit .284 with 20 home runs and 79 runs batted in for Minnesota last season.

Over 11 seasons -- all with the Twins -- Cuddyer has hit .272 with 141 home runs and 580 RBI. Nearly half of the home runs have come in the last three seasons. He was an American League all-star team selection in 2011.
