NASHVILLE, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- David Legwand scored the only goal of a shootout Saturday and the Nashville Predators logged a fifth straight win with a 2-1 decision over St. Louis.

Pekka Rinne made a save on David Perron in the tiebreaker and stopped 39-of-40 shots in regulation time, backstopping the Predators to the victory.

The Nashville goalie has started every game in the team's winning streak, rebounding nicely from a six-game winless skid that ended Dec. 6.

Martin Erat got Nashville's only regulation goal, scoring on assists from Shea Weber and Mike Fisher with 7 1/2 minutes left.

The Blues' T.J. Oshie tallied on a power play with 4 minutes left to tie it up.

Jaroslav Halak turned aside 19-of-20 shots for St. Louis.
