CHICAGO, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- First-year Chicago Cubs Manager Dale Sveum has completed his coaching staff, retaining several coaches who were with the team last season.

Sveum retained Pat Listach but moved him from bench coaching duties to third base coach. Hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo and bullpen coach Lester Strode, who has been in the Cubs organization for 24 years, will also return in 2012.

Chris Bosio, a major league pitcher for 11 seasons, was tabbed to be the Cubs' pitching coach. It is his third such assignment, having worked previously in Tampa Bay and Milwaukee.

Jamie Quirk, a player for 18 seasons and a coach for 18 more, replaces Listach as the bench coach. Also, Dave McKay, who was the first base coach for the St. Louis Cardinals for 16 years, will be Sveum's first base coach.

Sveum was hired in mid-November to be the Cubs manager. He replaces Mike Quade, who was fired Nov. 2 in one of the first moves by new team President Theo Epstein.
