NEW YORK, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Richard Bachman posted his first career shutout and Trevor Daley got the only goal Tuesday in the Dallas Stars' 1-0 decision over the New York Rangers.

The Stars' rookie goaltender, making his second career NHL start, stopped all 34 shots he saw as Pacific Division-leading Dallas finished a three-game road trip 2-1-0.

Bachman, 24, was especially busy in the final two frames, making 13 saves in each.

The Rangers lost for only the fourth time in 20 games despite getting 27 saves from Henrik Lundqvist.
