COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- James Wisniewski's goal in the third round of a shootout Tuesday enabled the Columbus Blue Jackets to eke out a 2-1 win over Vancouver.

Mark Letestu and Rick Nash had also scored for Columbus in the tiebreaker.

Vancouver kept the shootout alive with Alexandre Burrows' tally off Steve Mason, but Wisniewski sealed the victory by sneaking a shot below the pad of Vancouver's Roberto Luongo, snapping the Canucks' four-game winning streak.

Jeff Carter also scored for Columbus, while Mason -- who left briefly with a knee injury late in the game but then returned -- finished with 30 saves.

Maxim Lapierre scored in regulation and Luongo made 29 stops for the Canucks.
