LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A publicist for the Los Angeles Lakers said team owner Jerry Buss was hospitalized with blood clots in his leg.

Team publicist John Black said Wednesday Buss, who will turn 78 in January, suffered the blood clots as a result of excessive travel in recent weeks and is expected to be released from the hospital, which Black did not identify, in the next one to two days, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.
