LA QUINTA, Calif., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Brendon Todd fired a 4-under-par 68 for the second day in a row Monday, claiming the medalist honors at the PGA Qualifying Tournament.

The 108-hole event ended with Todd sporting a 17-under 415, one better than Stephen Gangluff, who closed with a 2-under 70 to finish in second place at minus-16.

The top 29 finishers at the six-round, marathon "Q School" earn PGA Tour cards for the 2012 season.

Todd has won one Nationwide Tour event in his career, which came in 2008.

Knotted in third place were Bobby Gates (66) and Seung-yul Noh (67), while Vaughn Taylor fired a 69 to forge a fourth-place tie with Tommy Biershenk (68) and Jarrod Lyle (69) at minus-14.
