PITTSBURGH, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas stopped 45-of-46 shots and the Boston Bruins logged their 14th win in 15 games Monday with a 3-1 decision over Pittsburgh.

Thomas stood up to a furious challenge in the third period, turning aside 22-of-23 Penguins shots after Tyler Seguin's power-play goal a minute into the frame had given Boston a 3-0 advantage.

The Bruins goaltender also stopped 17 shots in the second period and improved to 12-4-0 with the victory.

Gregory Campbell and Benoit Pouliot each scored in the middle period and Rich Peverley added a pair of assists as the Bruins continued their longest stretch without a regulation loss since 1983.

Matt Cooke scored and Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves for the Penguins, who lost for only the second time in eight games since the return of captain Sidney Crosby.
