LOS ANGELES, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Jonathan Quick turned aside 41 shots Thursday and gave up only a second-period goal in carrying the Los Angeles Kings to a 2-1 win over Florida.

The LA goaltender stopped five more shots than he had in any other game this season to snap the Kings' two-game skid.

Florida fell to 1-2 on a four-game road trip.

Jack Johnson scored 1:35 into the contest for Los Angeles and Dustin Brown made it a two-goal lead with 5:47 to go in the second period. Sean Bergenheim tallied 1:26 later for the Panthers to complete the scoring.

Jose Theodore made 24 saves for Florida, which closes out its road trip in San Jose Saturday.
