
WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Zack Smith scored two goals, including the game-winner in the third period of the Ottawa Senators' 6-4 victory over Winnipeg Tuesday.
Smith connected on a wrist shot from the slot during a power play at 13:45 to break a 4-4 tie. His goal was the second of three unanswered goals the Senators scored in the closing minutes of the game after they had fallen behind 4-3 early in the period.
Milan Michalek scored two goals for the Senators, who won their second game in a row. Jason Spezza and Nick Foligno also scored.
Craig Anderson was peppered with 43 shots on goal for Ottawa and stopped all but four of them. Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec allowed five goals on 33 shots.
Evander tallied two goals in the third period for the Jets, who have lost three of their last four. Blake Wheeler and Alexander Burmistrov scored for Winnipeg in the second period.
