INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Sherrod Martin made an interception in the end zone late in the game Sunday, assuring the Carolina Panthers' 27-19 victory over winless Indianapolis.

With the Colts driving for a possible game-tying touchdown with less than a minute left, Curtis Painter's pass to Austin Collie bounced off his hands and Martin caught it on the rebound.

The defensive back managed to keep both feet in the end zone before falling out of bounds, handing the Panthers (3-8) their first win in 13 road games.

DeAngelo Williams gained 69 yards with two touchdowns on 15 carries while Cam Newton completed 20-of-27 passes for 208 yards to go along with 53 rushing yards and a score on the ground.

The Colts, meanwhile, fell to 0-11 for the first time since 1986.

Painter finished with a 15-of-29 passing performance for 226 yards and a touchdown while Reggie Wayne made five grabs for 122 yards and a score.
