Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Steven Stamkos scored twice and added an assist Saturday, powering the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 5-1 win over Florida.
Stamkos took over second place on the NHL goal-scoring list with his 13th and 14th tallies, and helped out on Ryan Malone's fifth of the year, which came midway through the second period and capped a run of four straight Lightning scores.
Martin St. Louis and Tom Pyatt also found the net for Tampa Bay. Mathieu Garon turned aside 24-of-25 shots for the Bolts, who swept a home-and-home series from the Panthers.
Shawn Matthias scored and Jacob Markstrom, making his fifth start of the season, stopped 29 shots for Florida.
