NHL: Colorado 5, Edmonton 2

DENVER, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The Colorado Avalanche scored four straight late goals Saturday, with Stefan Elliot providing the goal-ahead tally in their 5-2 victory over Edmonton.

Shane O'Brien scored his first goal of the season on a power play 6 minutes into the third period to make it 2-2 and Elliot put a wrist shot past Devan Dubnyk 2 minutes later as the Avalanche erased a 2-1 deficit. Jan Hejda and Paul Stastny then followed Elliot's goal to conclude the outburst that allowed the Avalanche to win going away.

Semyon Varlamov turned aside 31-of-33 shots for Colorado, which broke a two-game home losing streak.

Ladislav Smid and Ryan Jones each found the net and Dubnyk finished with 24 saves for the Oilers.
