PITTSBURGH, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Sidney Crosby celebrated his return to the lineup with a pair of goals and two assists Monday, boosting Pittsburgh to a 5-0 win over the New York Islanders.

Crosby, who has been out since Jan. 5 due to concussion symptoms, scored a goal on his first shot 5:24 into the contest, depositing a backhander into the net.

He scored again in the third period and assisted on goals by Brooks Orpik and Evgeni Malkin in between as the Penguins surged past Philadelphia into first place in the Atlantic Division.

Steve Sullivan scored and Marc-Andre Fleury notched his second shutout of the season, stopping all 29 shots he saw.

Islanders goalie Anders Nilsson, making the first start of his NHL career, was lit up for five goals on 36 shots.
