Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DALLAS, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Antti Niemi turned aside 30 shots Saturday and the San Jose Sharks handed Dallas its fifth straight loss, downing the Stars 4-1.
Logan Couture and Brent Burns scored power play goals while Brad Winchester and Jamie McGinn also found the net as the Sharks won for the fourth time in five games.
The Pacific Division battle featured three fights, in which the combatants were handed a combined 100 penalty minutes
Dallas, which has been outscored 21-4 during its five-game skid, got a goal from Mike Ribeiro 6:22 into the third period -- ending a scoreless drought of 194 minutes, 11 seconds.
Andrew Raycroft surrendered four goals on 38 shots for Dallas.
