JOHOR, Malaysia, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Daniel Chopra shot a second-round 6-under-par 65 and owns the lead after Friday's play at the European Tour's Johor Open in Malaysia.
Chopra had seven birdies and a bogey and is at 13-under 129 after 36 holes.
A large portion of the field was unable to finish second-round play. Weather delays Thursday pushed the schedule back and Friday's play was stopped because of darkness with the last group getting in only three holes.
The second round is to be completed before the third round begins Saturday.
Among those on the course at the time of the suspension was Joost Luiten, who led after Thursday's play. Luiten played six holes of his second round, with a birdie at No. 6 moving him to 9-under for the tournament.
Michael Jonzon (65 in the second round), Christian Nilsson (67) and Mohd Siddikur (67) are tied for third at 8-under. Nine golfers are at 7-under.
Chopra opened his second round with a birdie at the first hole and was 2-under when he had a bogey at No. 7. He got that back with a birdie at the eighth and moved ahead of the field with four birdies over Nos. 11-15.
