HOUSTON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has a foot injury and will miss at least one week and possibly longer, Coach Gary Kubiak said Monday.
Schaub appeared to have injured his right foot during a quarterback sneak in the first half of the Texans' 37-9 win over Tampa Bay Sunday.
That didn't prevent him from throwing for 242 yards and two scores in the victory, but Kubiak said an examination of the foot showed a "significant" injury.
"The quarterback sneak coming out of the end zone when we were backed up inside our 1 [yard-line] -- somebody fell on the back of his foot and his foot got caught in the pile," Kubiak said, adding, "We're going to send him to Charlotte here in the next week and have him evaluated there."
Schaub has thrown for 2,479 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games this season.
Matt Leinart will take over behind center for the Texans, who at 7-3 lead the AFC South.
